CTC WELCOME TO OUR NEW CHAPLAIN GRAHAM DANN

We welcome to the family of Cameron Toll Chaplaincy our newest chaplain

GRAHAM DANN

Graham was born in Musselburgh, but has lived most of his life in Edinburgh with spells in Falkirk & Ipswich.

He came to faith while in Ipswich and has been involved in most aspects of church life together with his wife Lorraine for some years now.

Graham took early retirement at age 52, two years ago, after 31 years in the pensions business. Currently a member of one of our supporting churches, Priestfield Parish Church.

If you enjoy playing table tennis you're in good company ... our Graham plays most Thursday afternoons!

As well as being our newest Chaplain he is also a volunteer chaplain to two local Edinburgh Royal Mail Delivery Offices - Old Dalkeith Road & Strathearn Road - and still does some voluntary work for Christians Against Poverty (CAP). He also has previous experience with Bruntsfield Food Bank and Bethany Christian Trust - care van and job club.

His photo will follow... but we look forward to working with you Graham :)

NEW BEGINNINGS

TUESDAY 15th JULY 2014

NEW BEGINNINGS FOR
CAMERON TOLL CHAPLAINCY & WORK PLACE CHAPLAINCY SCOTLAND

This article has come hot off the Work Place Chaplaincy Scotland's(WPCS) press so to speak:-

We are looking forward to our new partnership with Newington Churches Together (NCT) and South East Edinburgh Churches Acting Together (SEECAT) through the auspices of Cameron Toll Chaplaincy Steering Group.

WPCS Central Scotland Regional Organiser Paul Wilson and Rosemary Dewar, our media and fundraising co-ordinator, were privileged to be part of a special ceremony celebrating the new arrangement in Cameron Toll shopping centre’s management suite.

Welcoming them, Steering Group Chair, Janet Sidaway, spoke warmly of the new development and paid tribute to the work of the Steering Group and chaplains since the service was established at Cameron Toll, 12 years ago. She then presented current chaplains, Danielle Milne and Reuben Addis, with certificates recognising their commitment to the work there.

Responding, Paul Wilson congratulated the Steering Group, whose members – Lou Ogilvy, Joan McGregor and Kate Selby – were also present, on  their work setting up and sustaining chaplaincy at the centre. He said WPCS was delighted to have the opportunity to develop the Cameron Toll Chaplaincy work and gave a brief outline of other organisations for which the charity also provides trained staff and volunteer chaplains.

The group were then taken on a short tour of the centre and were introduced to three of the staff who help ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible. (Pictures on our Facebook page).

And finally, as a new chapter in the history of chaplaincy at Cameron Toll begins and with the Steering Group’s permission, we thought we’d share this definition of chaplaincy featured on the Cameron Toll Chaplaincy website. We think it embodies chaplaincy for all of us!
